Alexis Stricker, LCSW

Alexis Stricker provides trainings on treating posttraumatic stress disorder in children.

Alexis has been working in the field of mental health since 1993. Since that time, she has continuously worked with children, many of whom have endured chronic and early childhood trauma.

In 2004, Alexis began working with children and families impacted by adoption and has since developed expertise in understanding attachment and adoption-related challenges, not only as experienced by children, but also by the parents and extended family members who care for them, as well as adults who were adopted as children.

Alexis is trained as a Somatic Therapist. In her work, she places great emphasis on the body-mind connection and believes that tuning into the nervous system and instinctual responses of the body is the gateway to psychological and emotional healing.
